Clearly applying a very broad definition of 'shortly', but sometimes you get that.

The final incentive to start this again for real was my recent attendance of Tech.ed 2008 Australia ... for those that do not realise, I have to admit this is a Microsoft event (not that there is anything wrong with that).

I also must admit that I was pleasantly surprised by the general usefulness and helpful atmosphere. Three full days of learning little tricks and grand strategies to be more effective at my job. Besides which I did not have to pick up the bill, so win-win for me.

I just have to quickly refer to two blogs that I'll have to read through in some detail:

  • Joe Duffy's blog: I was already aware of Joe's work before by stumbling on several of his articles through long chains of link clicking... who knew there was a single place to find all this stuff
  • Corneliu's blog: This was by far the best speaker at the conference in subject matter and engagement... and I'm glad my feedback was of value to him
